Saturdays 10am-11:30am
Outside at the East Bay German International School in Emeryville on their astroturf field.
Andrew's classes have a gentle warm-up, three sections of choreography, then we add the sections together into a longer phrase. Movement is relaxed and languid, with the occasional strong shape. There is always floor work and he teaches you how to do it safely. In fact, he teaches you how to do everything safely. But we move pretty quickly. Music is often throwbacks since he stopped following music trends in the mid-90s, but sometimes he throws in some pop, like Dua Lipa, when a friend tells him about a cool new artist.
